Job Purpose

The Business Analyst – Data Analytics is a senior resource with extensive business experience developing requirements in support of an overall IT strategy. The Business Analyst – Data Analytics understands, analyzes and documents business problems and can translate business requirements into a technical solution and will perform at a hands-on, detailed level, as well as, at a leadership role. The Business Analyst – Data Analytics will work as a liaison between end users and development team in order to maintain and enhance the current CRM application.

Essential Functions

•Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis

◦Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs

◦Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language

◦Drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans

•Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

•Allocation of the following:

◦Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed

◦Support and institutionalize best practice methodologies as it relates to IT applications (change control/user acceptance testing/training/implementation methodologies)

◦Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow

◦The liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams

Education

•Four years of College resulting in a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

•Salesforce Certification (ADM201) a plus

Experience/Background

•2 to 3 years experience

•Previous administrative or development experience with Salesforce.com preferred

•Salesforce Certification (ADM201) a plus

•Experience with both Standard and Custom Salesforce objects

•Significant experience in Business/Service Analysis in large complex environment

•Experience gathering requirements for ERP or large package implementation or upgrade

•Experience of process mapping, with the ability to bring together diverse groups and opinions to agree coherent solutions

•Experience of managing complex repository based business models

•Practical experience of process/data/functional modeling techniques and an understanding of the use of structured techniques

•Working from and developing scenarios and user requirements

Special Knowledge/Skills

•Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts

•Previous experience with enterprise-wide requirements definition

•Experience using structured Methodologies best practices

•Previous exposure to ERP and/or Supply Chain, CRM, and Financial and Accounting applications

•Understanding and knowledge of technical architectures
