Internal Title: Fiber/POTS Held Service Order Clerk (Tier 2)
Primary Duties
•Design basic work orders to resolve pending telephone service orders
•Investigate and resolve telephone and fiber service orders that are held due to lack of facilities
•Work with other departments (Engineering, Field Operations, Business/Residence Service Center, etc.) to resolve discrepancies that are interfering with the completion of service orders
•Update work orders, records and databases using various systems
Experience / Background
•Associates degree in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering preferred
•Understanding of basic engineering principles
•Experience using Microstation or AutoCAD
•Experience reading and designing service/work orders
Work Environment
•Work schedule includes weekdays and weekends, with overtime as needed
•Work is performed at a workstation in a team environment and requires frequent use of a computer and telephone
•On-the-job training relating to company specific practices and processes will be provided
